Grassroots Football Restart

So we finally have a date to get our organised DADS v DADS games restarted from March 29th⚽🙌. And not a moment too soon. We are all desperate to get back on the pitch.  Get the chance to improve our physical and mental fitness and all together be a bit ‘Fitter to Fight’ any new challenges that might come along, like we were before.

Rest assured our partnership PLAYERS> VENUES> ORGANISERS> DADSvDADS is busying to get the games back on ASAP. We’ve confirmed a few games already with venues, it was great to see those games get booked up in hours 👍. We’ll add extra games on for you where it makes sense to get as many as possible a game and back involved.

We’ve been getting some questions about game credits, how to support, the Fantasy League and when we might start playing again. So here goes:

For cancelled games that you were booked and paid for we are of course looking after them for you, so when we get restarted either 1) use credits for your next game 2) help someone else who might have been impacted 3) let the credit(s) go, to keep DADS v DADS running 🙏.


No one likes asking for help, DADSvDADS doesn’t charge a joining fee or monthly subscription, we are not funded through by Sports England or government or charity funding. DADs v DADs runs in a way that is sustainable and fair for players, local organizers, venues and DADS v DADS. Although there is a reality of course that things can’t run on empty forever, so hopefully this is the last lock down.

Fantasy League Spring Season 2021. Sadly we’ve had to cancel the Winter Season 2021. The good news is we’ll start up immediately with the Spring Season 2021. Chance to get ourselves into the first 11, make it to the top 10 of the world rankings table and become immortalised as DADS v DADs legends    😁😁⚽.
Will the games be completely back to normal without Covid rules? The risk of spreading the infection through participating in outside sport has been low. At our DADS v DADS games we put in place some changes to reduce the risk of infection between players. So when we restart we’ll continue with those controls and hope things can be completely back to normal with the planned end of restrictions in June.

We are having to wait for many of our venues to reopen before we can confirm games. So that we are ready, we have updated our risk assessments and Covid guidelines to send to venues for approval. We’re reaching out to venues to reconfirm dates and times. We’ll be looking to start new games in existing and new locations to give more opportunities to play were it makes sense and adding more people into groups to keep the games full week in and week out because full games are better and ready for the the DADS v DADS Fantasy League restart the 1st week of April.
